Florida’s Governor Re-Appoints Scott Konopka To 19th Circuit JNC

Scott Konopka of ​Mrachek Law has been re-appointed to the 19th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Florida’s Governor Rick Scott.  Scott Konopka is a shareholder at ​Mrachek Law, practicing in the areas of complex commercial and business litigation.

“I am honored to be reappointed by Governor Rick Scott for another three-year term on the 19th Circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission,” said Konopka, from his office in Stuart, Florida. ““I appreciate the Governor’s confidence and I intend to continue to serve with honor and distinction.”  Konopka’s original term began on April 22, 2011 and ended on July 1, 2012.  The Governor has re-appointed Konopka for a second term ending in 2014.

The 19th Circuit JNC is comprised of nine attorneys from our Circuit, comprised of Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River counties. Commissioners appointed to the JNC are ultimately called upon to nominate individuals to fill judicial vacancies in our Circuit.  It is the duty of each commissioner to review applications, interview the applicants, and ultimate meet and decide which candidates to send to the Governor for final appointment.
