Gregory S. Weiss is a shareholder in the Firm, and focuses his practice on the trial or arbitration of commercial, business and construction matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and is Board Certified in Business Litigation and Civil Trial by the Florida Bar. He represents clients under hourly, hybrid and contingency fee arrangements, and focuses on delivering value to clients in the most cost effective manner possible.
Mr. Weiss is a native of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Florida, where he completed the Army R.O.T.C. program and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, where he served as the Chairman of the National Moot Court Board and was selected to the Order of the Barristers.
After graduating law school Mr. Weiss served on active duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, in the 82d Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, California. Mr. Weiss served as a Trial Counsel (military prosecutor), Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and Operational Law Attorney/Law of War Advisor. In addition, Mr. Weiss deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, serving for one year in central Iraq. Mr. Weiss was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.
Mr. Weiss is a member of the Florida and California Bars, and is qualified to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Southern and Central Districts of California. Mr. Weiss currently is serving on the Florida Bar Board of Governors as the representative of the 19th Judicial Circuit. The 52-member Board of Governors has exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the Bar. He taught trial advocacy as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law, and for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Weiss has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell. He previously served as President of the Martin County Bar Association, Chairman of the UF College of Law Board of Trustees, President of the UF Law Alumni Council, and General Counsel for the Urban League of Palm Beach County.
