Mrachek Law Shareholder, Gregory Weiss, taught Advanced Florida Trial Practice at the University of Florida Levin College of Law as an adjunct professor in Fall 2023. Weiss is Board Certified in Business Litigation and Civil Trial by the Florida Bar, and he taught the course with fellow University of Florida College of Law alumnus, Rebecca Brock, to third year law students interested in careers involving trial work. The course provided a practical approach on handling all significant functions at trial, from jury selection to closing argument, and provided the students with the opportunity to “get on their feet” and receive constructive feedback to help them improve. One significant goal of the class was to help demystify the courtroom for law students to allow them to build confidence to actually try cases in the real world.
