Welcome to Greg Weiss, Dan Thomas and Lauren Fallick

September 30, 2013    West Palm Beach &  Stuart, Florida.  Mrachek, Fitzgerald, Rose,  Konopka and Dow is proud to announce three new additions to the Firm, Gregory S. Weiss and Daniel A. Thomas, who will be joining the Firm as shareholders effective October 1, 2013, and Lauren S. Fallick, who will be joining as an associate attorney.

Greg rejoins the firm after five years honing his trial skills with Leopold Law, P.A.  Greg’s practice focuses on business and select class action litigation. He has litigated and tried a full range of complex commercial cases in state and federal court.  Greg recently served as class counsel in a $24 million settlement for South Florida homeowners affected by Chinese drywall.  Greg is the Immediate Past President of the Martin County Bar Association and previously served as President of the UF Law Alumni Council. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service as a US Army JAG Officer in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

Dan also is an accomplished trial attorney, focused on complex commercial and construction litigation, construction claims counseling, and contract and business disputes.  Dan is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar, and also joins us after practicing with Leopold Law, as well as Gunster Yoakley.   Dan was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014  for Commercial and Construction Litigation for the second consecutive year. Dan recently completed a 9 week jury trial in an $11 million construction defect case.  With the addition of Dan, the Firm has greatly expanded its depth in construction law.

Both Greg and Dan are graduates of University of Florida Levin College of Law and have an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, a peer reviewed ranking which indicates the highest level of professional excellence.

Lauren is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice in the areas of Business and Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Insurance Coverage Litigation, and Professional Liability Actions. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and the Nova Southeastern University Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude in the top 5% of her class. Prior to joining our firm, Lauren worked at Leopold Law, P.A. and Kluger Kaplan, P.L., where she specialized in various civil litigation matters, including high profile commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes. Lauren is actively involved in professional and civic organizations, including Connect Florida, where she serves on the Board of Governors as Co-Chair of Connect Florida’s Statewide Leadership Institute, the Emerging Leadership Program of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, and the Florida Justice Association.

“When we began looking to grow our Firm and expand the services we can offer to clients, Greg and Dan were at the top of our list.  They both have well-earned reputations as courtroom advocates and, more importantly, are attorneys who demonstrate the highest standards of ethics,” noted Alan Rose, one of Firm’s shareholders.  “We feel very lucky to have lawyers as talented as Greg, Dan and Lauren joining our firm.”
